Anastasia was born and raised in Chania. She is a psychologist, a graduate of the Department of Psychology of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (1997), and holds the license number 7181/24-9-97. She completed her postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology at the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete (2002), and her PhD thesis at the Medical School of the University of Crete (2012). She is a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists, the Panhellenic Psychological Association, and the Panhellenic Association of Hospital Psychologists.
She has attended numerous seminars and lectures in Greece and abroad, and has received further training in Counselling, Catastrophic Imaginative Psychotherapy, Trauma Therapy with the EMDR method, Family Therapy, Group Psychotherapy, and Synthetic Psychotherapy. She is on the E.C.P.I.S. Registry of Certified Adult Trainers, and has taught as a trainer in numerous seminars in public and private educational and clinical settings. She has also coordinated several seminars for mental health professionals (2005-2006) as the Head of the Training Office of the Mental Health Clinic of Chania and Scientific Officer of the KEK.

She has participated with oral presentations in many international conferences in Greece and abroad, while her research articles have been published in international journals such as Crisis – The Journal of Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention, BMJ Open, Journal of Forensic Sciences, and the American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology, among others, while she has also participated in writing chapters in scientific books. He is a reviewer for foreign-language international scientific journals in order to evaluate studies in order to establish their scientific validity and their final approval for publication.
She has worked as a psychologist in the Primary Education of Chania (1997-1999), and since 2000 at the Mental Health Clinic of Chania (Thpspx) in the framework of the psychiatric reform program “Psychargos”. Since 2006 she is the Scientific Manager of the Day Centre for Psychological Support of People with Oncological Diseases of the General Hospital of Chania. She holds the position of psychologist at the Mental Health Centre of Chania, and is a scientific collaborator of the Laboratory of Forensic Sciences of the Medical School of the University of Crete.
