Evi Kaloutsou

B.Sc., M.Sc.

Evi is a graduate of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy & Psychology of the University of Ioannina, specializing in psychology. She continued her studies at Coventry University, UK, graduating from the BSc in Psychology and the MSc in Forensic Psychology. She is an accredited member of the British Psychological Society, collaborates with the Centre for the Study of Crime as a research associate and is the scientific supervisor of the Forensic Psychology Lab which operates under the auspices of the Centre for the Study of Crime. She gives seminar lectures and participates in workshops on topics related to her field of expertise, and has also received training in Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy.
Among other things, she has worked as a counsellor for victims of abuse at the National Stalking Helpline and as an eyewitness counsellor at the Witness Service of Citizens Advice in the UK. She has also worked as a psychologist at the Tomatis diagnostic and intervention centre for children and at AKTIO in the Alzheimer’s unit.
She worked as a researcher at the Dromokaiteio Psychiatric Hospital where she wrote her thesis on the function of short-term memory in schizophrenic patients in relation to the existing atrophy and the medication administered. In addition, she has worked on the attitudes and perceptions of jurors in child sexual abuse cases and the memory of eyewitnesses. She specializes in the management and treatment of abuse victims and the preparation and testimony of eyewitnesses. She has three publications in peer-reviewed journals and active attendance and participation in conferences, workshops and professional associations.
