Elektra Diakolamprianou

Electra was born and raised in Rhodes. She is a PhD candidate in Social Psychology at Panteion University, researching social integration and political participation as aspects of migration to and from Greece. In this context, she has conducted fieldwork in Greece, Australia and the USA, and has presented her work at conferences in Greece and other European countries.
She works in Athens as a psychologist and mental health counsellor. Her professional activities include individual and family counselling, expressive arts therapy, experiential workshops, psychology and communication skills seminars, career guidance services and creativity coaching.
She also works with the NGO METAdrasi as a commissioner for unaccompanied minors, with the Institute of Labour of the GSEE as a labour consultant, and with Gordon Hellas as a certified trainer Parent/Teacher/Leader Effectiveness Training. In the past, she has worked as a psychologist and scientific collaborator with ELSTAT, the National Erasmus+ Service, the Hellenic Centre for Sound and Music Research, PEPSYPE, the Counselling Centre “Neos Kosmos”, the Rhodes Yacht Club and the Cultural and Folklore Association “Ambernalli”. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the World Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counseling (WAPCEPC) and the International Association of the Dodecanese.
In 2016 she completed her training as a trainee trainer and became a member of the academic staff in the Counselling Department of ICPS.
