FECSM

Myrto is an Obstetrician, Surgeon, Gynaecologist, Sexologist, Educator. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras. She specialised in Surgery at the University Surgery Clinic of Berlin, Klinikum Steglitz and in Gynaecology/Obstetrics at the 1st University Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University of Athens, Alexandra Hospital.
In 2000 she received a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarship at the International Women’s University (IFU), Hannover, in the field of . She has received a degree in Teaching from PATES-SELETE. She has been a teacher since 2003 in EPAL and IEK. Since 2004 Scientific Associate of the 1st Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic of the University of Athens.
She specialised in Urogynaecology (urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse, vaginal relaxation), at the Department of Urogynaecology – Pelvic Floor Disorders, at the A’ University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic of the University of Athens, Alexandra Hospital. For 15 years since 2006 as a Scientific Associate of the 1st University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic, she has been giving lectures and briefings on the subject of “Sexual Education of Adolescents – Intersex Relationships” to groups of young people, adolescents, immigrants, students in schools all over Greece as well as in KETHEA, OAED, OKANA etc. and additional information for parents-educators. In 2015 she took over the Reproductive Health-Sexual Health Awareness Seminars in Higher Education within the Clinton Global Initiative University-CGIU with briefings in Higher Education. She has worked for the United Nations, UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund ), on training projects -Training the Trainers and undertook UNFPA’s information materials on Reproductive Health issues.
She has attended and completed two e-learning courses of the University of Athens, (Advanced Homeopathy etc.) and . Member of the Society , practicing Advanced Homeopathy, especially for menopausal women. She has taught 2020-21 at the Center for Personal Development-Holistic Therapies-Diodos.
She specialized in Sexology, Postgraduate Seminar of the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens 2013-2014. In October 2015 she is attending the , Budapest, Hungary of the European Association of Sexologists.
In February 2016, after a written examination, under the auspices of the European Association of Sexologists, she was awarded the title of FECSM Fellow of the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee of Sexual Medicine (MJCSM), Madrid, Spain
He has many years of experience as a Gynecologist – Obstetrician – Surgeon. She has participated in hundreds of papers-presentations, as a researcher or guest speaker, in conferences in Greece and abroad and has publications in Greek and foreign journals. She is a member of medical societies and of the International and European Association of Sexologists.
