Olga Tzouramani

Olga is a member of the scientific-academic staff of the College of Humanities – ICPS and the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). After completing an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Wales, she obtained three Master’s degrees: 1. In Criminology (University of Nicosia) 2. In Compositional Psychotherapy and Counselling (University of Derby) 3. In Law with a specialisation in Human Rights and Social Justice (University of Nicosia). In addition, she is continuing her education in an undergraduate law programme.
Olga obtained her PhD in Criminology with specialization in Correctional Science from the University of Nicosia (CY) and her thesis is entitled: “The multifaceted ‘costs’ of incarceration in prison, to prisoners’ families and to the individuals themselves”, which will be published as a book by Sakkoulas. Following the successful completion of her PhD, she is extending her research, at the post-doctoral level.

He has teaching/educational experience, among others, at the University of Nicosia in the Postgraduate Program in Criminology, in the following subjects: “Research Methods in Criminology” and “Perpetrators of Violent and Sexual Crimes”, at UCLan University in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Psychology and Forensic – Criminological Psychology programmes, as well as at the University of Derby in the Undergraduate Psychology Programme, including in the subject area of Forensic Psychology and Criminology, etc. In addition, she has Practical experience in the field of Psychoactive Substance Dependency, Trauma Therapy and Grief Management. At the same time, for many years, he has been undertaking scientific supervision of thesis-research projects, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Her research interests are focused on the study of Sexual Offences, Psychoactive Substances (with published research in the library of OKANA), Domestic Violence, Animal Abuse, Child Internet Pornography and issues related to the functioning of the Criminal Justice System. She is a member of International Scientific Associations with many publications and studies, she is the organizer and has participated in various conferences, workshops, symposia and academic seminars. She is a scientific collaborator and analyst for the TV show “Light at the Tunnel” and has participated as an analyst in other TV shows (Guide to Good Life). Finally, she is a columnist in print and online newspapers in Greece and Cyprus and a member of the P.A.D.A. Institute for Anti-Drug Action.
