Vicky was born and raised in Athens. After completing her studies in English Language and Literature at the University of Thessaloniki, she pursued a Master’s degree from the University of Exeter, wishing to further specialize in the field that most fascinated her – the History of the American South and the Literary Expression of the African American community.
She started working as an English teacher in her student years and for more than 25 years now she has been professionally active in the field of private post-secondary and higher education teaching English for special and academic purposes. She also teaches English as a foreign language to students of all levels and prepares them for language certification examinations. The field of translation is another of her interests. After completing her translation studies and obtaining a Diploma in Translation from the British Council in Athens, she has been intensively involved in translating medical and financial texts for companies, individuals and professionals.
He actively applies a more person-centred approach to the foreign language teaching process because he believes that the most important achievement for a teacher is to create a functional and friendly learning environment. This can only be achieved by developing a non-judgmental relationship of mutual trust with learners, in terms of acceptance, understanding, constant encouragement and reward. He is a member of TESOL Greece and continuously monitors its activities.
She has been working at ICPS since 2016 teaching the English for Psychologists course.
