Vassilis completed his studies in Psychology and Education at Sheffield Hallam University (BA Hons in Psychology and Education) and in Psychology at the University of East London in England (BSc Hons in Psychology). She has done postgraduate study at Sussex University in Brighton, England (MSc in Health Psychology) and has trained in Analytical Psychology (Dip. Couns – CPCAB), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT cert – NHS) and EMDR Psychotherapy (EMDR Cert – TACT). She also specialised in Eating Disorders at the Eating Disorders Assosiation in London and the Eating Disorders Unit at South London and Maudsley NHS.
As for his work experience, Vassilis worked for several years in the NHS in the field of health prevention and health promotion in the field of Health Psychology. In addition to the clinical work in which he delivered therapeutic interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, he was responsible as a facilitator to create therapeutic interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Models to achieve behavioural change in unhealthy behaviours (diet, smoking, and sexual health), then training health professionals to implement them in their clinics according to the guidelines of the Department of Health in England. She worked for the NHS in Redbridge PCT, Cambridgeshire PCT and Ealing PCT.
A few years ago he returned to Greece where he practices as a Psychologist having his own office where he works mainly with Psychological Trauma cases.
At the same time, he is a member of the Project Management Team of the Municipality of Penteli and advisor to the Mayor, responsible for the planning of actions and the supervision of the smooth operation of issues related to the Municipality’s activities on Mental Health, Counselling, Addictions, etc.
She has a supervisory role in the Municipality of Penteli’s Health Centre, which in cooperation with the National Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities – Health Promotion (EDDYYPOPY) carries out Health Prevention and Health Promotion programmes.
He is also the coordinator of the Memory Clinic program in the Municipality of Penteli where, in collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), he provides the Long Lasting Memories Care (LLM Care) integrated health care system.
Finally, he is responsible for the Mental Health Centre of the Municipality of Penteli, which he started as a pilot project, having both a clinical and supervisory role.
At ICPS she trains in undergraduate, graduate and professional programs and in topics related to Health Psychology and Trauma.
